I hope you are all well, and this this brief message helps clarify the situation as it stands today.
Following the Prime Minister’s indications yesterday evening, the Government believes it may be in a position to implement a phased return for pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 from June 1st which it says would be a decision which will remain under review.
We await more information from the Government with regards to this and we will be working closely with our friends in local schools in order to achieve a potential safe strategy and plan IF this happens.
In the short term, it is important to underline that our school must currently remain a safe place for the children attending. This means that there will be no change to our current offer for children who are vulnerable, and children whose parents are critical to the Covid-19 response and cannot be safely cared for at home.
As it stands, this is where we are today. I will update you as soon as there are any changes to this and/or what a potential return (perhaps optional?) may look like for the named Year Groups.
Best WishesMr N Sheeran - Headteacher
