RHSE (Relationships, Health and Sex Education Letter)
Once again, we would like to invite you to take a look at our Relationships, Health and Sex Education (RHSE) policy to see how we plan and deliver this essential area of the curriculum to your child/children.
Dear parents/carers
Once again, we would like to invite you to take a look at our Relationships, Health and Sex Education (RHSE) policy to see how we plan and deliver this essential area of the curriculum to your child/children. The policy can be found in the ‘Policies’ section of our website (Draft Relationships, Health and Sex Education Policy) or you can request a paper copy at the office. We truly value your feedback in this area and if you have any suggestions to make or questions about the content of the policy, please contact the school office and we will arrange a time to discuss things further.
We would also be very grateful if you could have a look at the overviews for our Life Lessons curriculum which, as always, have been reviewed and adapted slightly since last year to reflect the needs of the children and the aftermath of the Coronavirus pandemic. We feel our Life Lessons scheme is already very effective in providing children with the skills to become confident, happy, healthy and respectful members of our community, but we would really appreciate your input to see if we can make it even better. The following themes are now covered throughout the year:
Good to Be Me! Being Healthy Working Together
Good Relationships Global Neighbours The Future is Bright
You can find the school overview for each theme on our school website on the Life Lessons page. If there is anything you would specifically like your child to learn more about, or any particular areas you think need to be covered in more depth, or you would like more information about the content of specific lessons or areas, please contact the school office to arrange a chat.
The final version of the policy and the Life Lessons overviews will be published on the website after half term so please get in touch with any ideas or questions before we finish for half term on Friday 21st October.
As parents and carers, you are in the best possible place to know what your child/children need to help them develop and thrive as they move through the stages of life and we want to make sure we are helping to facilitate this in the best possible way. Your feedback on our policy of RHSE and our Life Lessons curriculum truly is invaluable to us.
Thank you for your on-going support.
Mrs Sinnott
