You are all Stars of the Week this week!
Year 1 - Remote Learning Monday 28th September (1st Week)
Hi Year One, we know this is a difficult situation but this is something we need to do to keep you safe and ourselves safe. It will not be long till we see you again. Whilst you are at home, we have set up the first week of tasks to complete. We know that you will make us proud and be the best you can be at home!
If you click on the links on the weekly timetable they will take you to lessons/games for you to access.
Hello lovely 1R
I hope that you are staying well and safe at home - I am missing you all so very much - and thinking of you all the time!
I hope that you have had a go at the activities on the Remote Learning page on this class page.
Have you enjoyed the 'Magic Paintbrush?' The 'Senses' work? - There is a lovely music activity this afternoon! Have a go at them all!
We will all be back so soon - and I am so looking forward to that!
I will send another message on Friday for some more Remote Learning for the last two days, but meanwhile, stay safe, happy and have a go at all the activities that you can. Read your home school book as well as other books that you have in your house and write them in the Reading Diary so that I can see all of the books you have shared.
I am missing you, 1R, and sending you all lots of love. xxx

1R Class Page
Welcome to our class page. Here you will find lots of exciting and useful information about our class.
Class Teacher: Mrs Ramsden
In our classroom we have a fabulous team of adults supporting us...these are Mrs Stewart and Mrs Willocks. Mrs Willocks will teach us on a Thursday afternoon.
We are looking forward to meeting you and showing you our classroom. We have been busy getting everything ready over the summer for you. We know it has been a while since some of you have been in school so we will make sure that you enjoy your time in class...we will become one big happy family. We will make sure there is time to talk about our feelings and include some mindfulness games.
We are here to make sure learning is fun and enjoyable. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the office via email.
Please read the full Return to School Plan and look out for updates posted on the main page of our website by Mr Sheeran for general information.
Due to staggered timings, Year One children should come in through the Main Entrance at 8.55am. Collection is from the Junior Playground at 2.55pm. Only one parent should be present at drop off and collection to eliminate crowding. Please be patient whilst we get these systems into place. Thank you.
Please ensure that children wear the correct PE kit. Due to current circumstances children will be asked to come into school in their outdoor PE kit on their PE days. This is a white t-shirt, blue/black jogging bottoms, blue/black jumper and black pumps/trainers.
Our PE days are TUESDAY and THURSDAY.
Homework will be sent out each half term. Each child will get a blue homework book with an information letter printed on the inside cover. We ask that children work through the activities at their own pace and then each half term we will collect them in and the children will share their work with the class to celebrate their work.
Reading at Home
For the beginning of the Autumn Term children will be reading with adults in school and after this period teachers will send out reading books. More information regarding this will follow.
Please continue to share picture books and stories with children at home.
In the Autumn Term we have lots of exciting activities planned. In English, we will be using a range of texts including Superworm and The Jolly Postman. In Maths, we will begin the term focusing on our number understanding in particular place value, addition and subtraction. Later on in the term we will be learning about the United Kingdom and comparing contrasting the different human and physical features in each country! In History we will be comparing our typical school day to a typical school day in Victorian times. In Art we will be looking at the artist Paul Klee and the work he created. In Science, we will be investigating materials and our senses. These are just a few of the areas we will be learning about...watch this space to see photographs of us in action!
